Our Doctors

Dr Lynda Spelman is a founder and the Chair of the Queensland Institute of Dermatology Ltd, a not-for-profit organisation devoted to training, research, and the provision of specialist dermatological services to patients across Queensland. Dr Spelman also practices at Gabba Dermatology where she sees her general dermatology patients.

She is the Principal Investigator of Veracity Clinical Research. As a graduate of the University of Queensland and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, she has worked as a specialist dermatologist in Australia for more than 20 years. Dr Spelman has an extensive 25-year history of involvement in clinical research, having conducted studies in trials for a wide range of dermatological conditions, including atopic dermatitis/eczema, chronic plaque psoriasis, psoriatic nail disease, palmoplantar psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, seborrheic keratosis, and superficial and nodular basal cell carcinoma.

Her involvement in Veracity allows her to continue to dedicate her time to research with the hope of providing new and more effective treatment options for patients with skin conditions.
