Dr Lynda Spelman


Principal Investigator / Dermatologist

Dr. Lynda Spelman is the Principal Investigator of Veracity Clinical Research. As a graduate of the University of Queensland and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, she has worked as a specialist dermatologist in Australia for more than 20 years. Dr Spelman has an extensive 25 year history of involvement in clinical research, having conducted studies in trials for a wide range of dermatological conditions, including atopic dermatitis/eczema, chronic plaque psoriasis, psoriatic nail disease, palmoplantar psoriasis, hidradenitis suppuritiva, seborrheic keratosis, and superficial and nodular basal cell carcinoma.


She is also a founder and a director of the Queensland Institute of Dermatology, a not-for-profit organisation devoted to training, research and the provision of specialist dermatological services to patients across Queensland.Dr Spelman also practices at Gabba Dermatology where she sees her general dermatology patients. Her involvement in Veracity allows her to continue to dedicate her time to research with the hope of providing new and more effective treatment options for patients with skin conditions.

Teagan Holland 

RN/Clinical Nurse Specialist

Research Manager

Teagan is the clinical trials Manager at Veracity Clinical Research, using her qualifications as a dermatology nurse to provide utmost care to trial participants. Since 2007, Teagan has worked as a specialist nurse with Dr Spelman. With over 5 years’ experience in clinical trials, Teagan has conducted a range of studies relating to chronic plaque psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, superficial basal cell carcinomas, seborrhoeic keratosis and actinic keratosis.


Her skills outside direct patient care include: management of the trials, ethics submissions, project management and staff training. She has also worked in aged care for 10 years and facilitates nursing students at South Bank Institute of TAFE.

Kurt Davidson


Research Coordinator

Kurt is a Research Coordinator at Veracity Clinical Research. He graduated from a Bachelor of Applied Science at the University of Queensland before taking up his interest in the medical field to work as a Clinical Assistant at Specialist Connect. Kurt has been involved in coordinating and conducting clinical trials with Dr Spelman for several years. 

Margaret Anders


Research Coordinator

Margaret is a Registered Nurse, having graduated from University of Southern Queensland. This mother of three has previously worked for many years in aged care and the ambulance service. She now works at Veracity, continuing to demonstrate her passion for patient care and interest in dermatology in the position of Researcher, fulfilling her passion for making a difference to people’s lives.
